Descrizione

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to join our pre-opening team.

The role will report to the Director of Food & Beverage.

Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from the Colosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a contemporary 5-star hotel offering premium business services and one of Italy’s most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences.

The hotel is also featuring a SPA, 5 food & beverages outlets and more than 1000 sqm events venues.

Main duties and responsibilities Oversee daily F&B operations across restaurants, bars, and banquets, ensuring seamless service and high standards.

Support Outlet Managers and act as F&B Director in their absence.

Foster a positive work environment, support recruitment, training, and staff development, and contribute to performance evaluations.

Analyze P&L, support cost control initiatives, optimize labor productivity, and review financial reports.

Daily review of open checks, officer checks, discounts and reports in collaboration with the Director of F&B.

Develop and implement SOPs and P&Ps to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company standards.

Monitor mise en place and verify quality of service daily, including cleanliness, table/buffet setups and service readiness.

Address guest feedback and ensure prompt resolution of complaints.

Able to upsell food and beverage items by confidently recommending products and explaining ingredients and preparation methods.

Maintain visibility during guest arrivals and support special events and promotions.

Answer guest calls professionally, manage reservations and provide accurate information regarding F&B outlets and services.

Supervise banquet service, oversee setup execution, and coordinate with kitchen and event teams.

Ensure adherence to HACCP standards, safety regulations, and hygiene protocols through regular checks.

Manage stock levels, oversee daily requisitions, and report maintenance needs.

Collaborate with all departments, uphold company policies, and handle additional assigned tasks.

Skills and requirements: Minimum of 2 years' experience in the same or a relevant managerial role within an international hotel brand.

Proficient with F&B-related software such as Oracle MICROS Simphony Reporting & Analytics systems, EMC Micros.

Capable of programming POS systems and training team members accordingly.

Excellent communication skills in both Italian and English, written and spoken.

Confident in performing job functions without direct supervision.

Able to prioritize, organize, and delegate work assignments efficiently.

Work weekends, holidays and on shifts when required.
