The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing and controlling the financial activities of the company’s portfolio of subsidiaries. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in controlling within the logistics industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and develop a finance team.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Lead the annual budgeting process for a portfolio of subsidiaries.
Prepare and review forecasts and variance analyses.
Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Financial Controls and Compliance
Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment.
Conduct regular audits and implement recommendations for improvement.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Proven experience as a Controller or similar finance role, ideally within the logistics or project logistics industry.
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a controlling role.
Experience in the logistics or project logistics industry is highly desirable.
Proven track record of implementing financial controls and improving financial performance.
Willingness to travel to subsidiary locations as needed.
